I have been working at Saf-T-Swim for over 8 years now. I started off part-time teaching lessons in the pool, learned how to work the office and eventually moved up to management. I love what I do because of all of the relationships made along the way. It is a wonderful feeling to work with someone for days/weeks/months and finally see them accomplish something that we have been working so hard towards. When I'm not at work I enjoy most sports and photography. I've always loved any activity where I can be outdoors, especially camping and hiking. They give me a sense of calm that is difficult to find in everyday life

I have worked in the office at Saf-T-Swim for 23 years but prior to that was a customer for 10 years. My oldest son, who later became a teacher, started taking lessons at 3 months old and my younger son, who is now a manager, started lesson at 2 months old. I started working in Bayshore (the original facility) then worked in Deer Park, and now Bellmore. I really enjoy seeing how well the children progress and watching them grow up. I have met a lot of really nice people and made some lasting friendships. My hobbies include riding roller coasters, reading and spending time at the beach in the summer.

Hi, my name is Ryan and I have been working for Saf-T-Swim since 2016. I was a former student at the East Meadow location with my sister and cousin. Years later, I began teaching at the East Meadow location, then moved to Westbury and Garden City locations, and now work at the Bellmore location. My favorite part of working at Saf-T-Swim is creating bonds with people, supporting students in conquering their obstacles & achieve their goals in individual lessons, and challenging swimmers on the swim team to be the best swimmers they can be. Currently, I am pursuing a master’s degree in social work. My hobbies include biking, running, and swimming. 

I have been a part of the Aquatics and Sports industry for 24 years. My very first job was as a lifeguard and swimming instructor; so, for me it is full circle and rewarding to be able to recruit, hire, and train professionals in the field. I served as an Aquatics Manager for 8 years for the Department of Parks and Recreation in Jacksonville, Florida where I helped develop the Gus and Goldie Learn to Swim Program. Recently I was the Assistant Company Director for Gateway Sports and Pools where I lead sales and operations in NYC, Albany, and CT. As an Adjunct Professor at Lehman College I lectured in Exercise Science, Motor Learning, and the Behavioral Aspects of Physical Activity. I am also a published research author with a research focus in utilizing sports and physical activity as a vehicle to promote life development during adolescence. I strongly believe there are so many life lessons children can learn during sports participation. I received my MA in Motor Learning from Columbia University, and my BS from Lehman College in Movement and Exercise Science. I am a sports enthusiast having played basketball, soccer, and track and field collegiately. Currently I participate in swimming, volleyball, and golf recreationally; and I am a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu blue belt.
