Sheona G., District Manager

I have been a part of the Aquatics and Sports industry for 24 years. My very first job was as a lifeguard and swimming instructor; so, for me it is full circle and rewarding to be able to recruit, hire, and train professionals in the field. I served as an Aquatics Manager for 8 years for the Department of Parks and Recreation in Jacksonville, Florida where I helped develop the Gus and Goldie Learn to Swim Program. Recently I was the Assistant Company Director for Gateway Sports and Pools where I lead sales and operations in NYC, Albany, and CT. As an Adjunct Professor at Lehman College I lectured in Exercise Science, Motor Learning, and the Behavioral Aspects of Physical Activity. I am also a published research author with a research focus in utilizing sports and physical activity as a vehicle to promote life development during adolescence. I strongly believe there are so many life lessons children can learn during sports participation. I received my MA in Motor Learning from Columbia University, and my BS from Lehman College in Movement and Exercise Science. I am a sports enthusiast having played basketball, soccer, and track and field collegiately. Currently I participate in swimming, volleyball, and golf recreationally; and I am a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu blue belt.

Vinny G., District Manager

Hi, my name is Vinny, and I am District Manager of Bohemia, Garden City and Melville. I started at Saf-T-Swim in August 2004 at the East Meadow location and then went on to manage the Deer Park, Coram, and Melville locations before becoming a District Manager in December 2019. In addition to managing, I also help with training. I have two amazing children, Scarlett, and Keegan. We enjoy going to the pool/beach, playing games like Mario Kart, and watching movies. In addition, I have two bonus children Rhea and Devaney who I have been fortunate enough to be a part of their lives for a while now. I also have a wonderful wife, Chelsea. In our little time away from the kids we enjoy going out to eat, bingeing shows, and going to the movies. I fell in love with what I do at Saf-T-Swim because of the nature of the relationships we develop. Seeing the families come in week, after month, after year and watching the kids grow is the absolute best part of the job, hands down. The relationships I have personally built over 16 years is what keeps me coming back for more. Of course, seeing the kids obtain the necessary life saving water safety skills is amazing too! When you see them do it at a young age and be so confident you know it’s a job well done.

Eddie T., Training Manager

I have worked here for Saf-T-Swim for two years and I love what I do. I love educating parents and children on the importance of having the lifesaving skill of swimming. My role in Saf-T-Swim is to lead by example, upkeeping our smooth sailing standers. My goal is to enlighten those who come into contact with Saf-T-Swim brand about swim education. I’ve had the opportunity to assist our office staff bring back our clients post covid and we had the most swim jams schedule. My hobby consists of gardening, eating sushi, and listening to audio books.
